पुणे शहराच्या हृदयस्थानी कार्यरत असलेली पुणे मराठी ग्रंथालय संस्था ही गेली अनेक दशके ज्ञान, वाचनसंस्कृती आणि साहित्यसेवेचा दीप प्रज्वलित करत आहे. संस्थेच्या ग्रंथसंपदेमध्ये १.७५ लाखांहून अधिक मराठी ग्रंथ, ललित साहित्य, संदर्भग्रंथ आणि मागील शतकातील अमूल्य नियतकालिके यांचा समावेश आहे.
संस्थेमध्ये कार्यरत विविध विभाग – मुक्तद्वार वाचनालय, बालविभाग, संदर्भ सेवा व ग्रंथ देवघेव केंद्र – हे सर्व समाजातील प्रत्येक वयोगटातील वाचकांसाठी ज्ञानाचे दरवाजे खुले करतात.
सन १९६२ पासून सुरु झालेल्या अभ्यासिका विभागाचा आज ११०० हून अधिक विद्यार्थ्यांना लाभ मिळतो असून गेल्या ४८ वर्षांत ५०,००० हून अधिक विद्यार्थी येथे अध्ययन करून यशाच्या दिशेने वाटचाल केली आहे. याचप्रमाणे, संस्थेच्या वतीने गेल्या ३२ वर्षांपासून उन्हाळी सुट्टीत 'मोफत वासंतिक बालवाचनालय' हे पुणे शहरात व जिल्ह्यात ४० ठिकाणी राबवले जातात.
संस्थेच्या यशस्वीतेचा आणखी एक भाग म्हणजे वाचक-साहित्यिक संवाद, व्याख्यानमाला, परिसंवाद, वाचकसभा, तसेच विविध पुरस्कार वितरण समारंभ – जे साहित्य आणि समाज यांच्यात सेतू निर्माण करतात.
सन १९९० साली ६३ वे आणि २००२ साली ७५ वे अखिल भारतीय मराठी साहित्य संमेलनाचे यजमानपद भूषवण्याचा मानही ग्रंथालयास लाभला आहे.

Its a government library with many books to issue for personal reading for a specific duration as well as it as a huge study hall AC and non Ac with our own choice .This building has a huge hall where various functions are organised by the library for students and others also the ground floor has a very good newspaper reading section where you will get almost all newspapers of the day .
This library has huge book collection. Membership is also very affordable... Just a 100 rupies per month. You can take book to home for reading and return it with 10 days. Supportive and polite staff members.
इथे पुरस्कार सोहळ्यास उपस्थित राहण्याचे भाग्य मिळाले. ह्या ग्रंथालयाच्या व्यवस्थापकीय आणि अन्यकर्मी व्यक्ती अतिशय सुस्वभावी, सौजन्यशील आहेत. हे ग्रंथालय विविध उपक्रम चालवते. समस्त पुणेकरांनी ते जाणून घेऊन त्याचा अवश्य लाभ घ्यावा. ह्या ग्रंथालयास अनेक पुरस्कार प्राप्त झाले आहेत. असे बहुआयामी ग्रंथालय हे पुण्याचे वैभव आहे.
